MENTORING
MENTORSHIP WITH DR. MICHELLE LITTLE
When I founded Women In Motion Physical Therapy & Wellness I had two goals
1. To provide the best clinical care in orthopedics, obstetrics and pelvic health to our community
2. To create an environment where physical therapist could thrive, grow clinically, and NOT burn out!
Over the last 7 years I have taught over 500 physical and occupational therapists around the world through continuing education in areas such as obstetrics care, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and orthopedics. I have also mentored over 7 therapist in starting their own private practice, and 15 therapist to grow their current practice to multiple locations and multiple employees.
Less than 4% of businesses that bring in a million dollars’ worth of revenue are women, and I am very passionate about creating a seat at the table for all women! As a first generation, minority I had to navigate starting a business from scratch. I truly believe the key to improving health care, is training the next generation and creating work environments where therapist can thrive!
Clinical Mentoring
If you have taken at least pelvic 1 and are looking to grow in specialty practice of pelvic health, orthopedics, or obstetrics this is a great option for you!
We offer a 3 and 4 day in person option.
Based on your specific clinical learning goals we schedule patients and evaluations in the morning and hands on mentoring time in the afternoon. We will expand on your clinical differential diagnosis to better understand the potential structures at fault and the most valid and specific special test to come up with a PT diagnosis; as well as coming up with the most specific plan of care to get your patients better faster.

I completed a 1-on-1 clinical mentoring program at Women and Motion. I was fortunate to see a wide variety of diagnoses and patients of all ages. The mentorship helped me gain deeper knowledge in treating prolapse, prenatal and postpartum conditions, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel conditions. Michelle went through a few running assessments with me, which gave me the knowledge and tools to perform this in my own clinic. Michelle's pregnancy prep course was phenomenal. I have a great understanding of labor, birthing positions, ways to reduce tears, and how to incorporate a birth partner during labor. This has allowed me to begin 1-on-1 counseling with pregnant patients and their partners and a plan to teach my own pregnancy prep course in my area. Additionally, I left with so many new treatment ideas and exercises. I learned a ton of different exercises for stretching, strengthening, and mobility, as well as different manual techniques. Interventions are truly specific to each patient and their goals, which I LOVED. Towards the end of my mentorship, I had many light bulb moments in my head because I was understanding their thought process and felt like I would make similar decisions with my patients. I highly recommend Michelle’s mentoring program for pelvic health clinicians!

My specialties for business mentoring:
-Going from a full time secure job to starting your private practice.
-Growing your private practice from just you to multiple clinicians and/or locations.
-Using social media to grow your practice.
-How to develop multiple streams of revenue to support your practice and create a better work life balance.

Kristi Hammerle PT, DPT
Infant and pediatric specialist
Founder of Year One Wellness, Austin TXI started business mentoring with Michelle Little while I was working full time. I had no clue where to start or what I was doing regarding the business side of things. Michelle helped me set up my own business that allowed me to work with my preferred population with a structure that served my life. Our mentoring sessions were not only task-oriented, but she helped me shift into the mindset of a confident business owner. She fully supported me through the launch of my business, Year One Wellness, and within 1 month I had a full caseload. I also quickly grew a social media presence from 0 to 1500+ followers on Instagram, which has improved my outreach to clients. I didn’t expect any of this to be possible before I started working with Michelle. She also went above and beyond and connected me to other professionals in her network that have helped my business thrive. Michelle is the perfect coach for me because she continues to encourage me to grow beyond my expectations but respects my boundaries and timeline. She’s also such a joy to work with and I can tell she truly cares about my success. Although I’m now an established business, I continue to work with her to keep moving forward. We are now working on transitioning my mobile business to a clinic, and potentially hiring. I can’t recommend Michelle’s mentoring enough if you want your business to thrive beyond belief!

Dr. Quana Tribble Jackson, PT, DPT
Owner/Founder
PTforHER Pelvic Health & Wellness, LLCAs a mentor, Michelle has helped enhance my clinical knowledge and grow my business. I remember reaching out to Michelle when I was ready to take that leap of faith to open a pelvic PT practice in the middle of a pandemic. Not only did she give me the confidence to do it, she also gave me step by step what I needed to do in order to get started. This was appreciated because it cut out a lot of the how-to's and we got straight to action with immediate results that continued to grow month by month. With Michelle's guidance and mentoring, I've been able to go from working as an acute care therapist to opening my own pelvic PT practice. She helped me with confidence during treatment sessions, especially in the areas of obstetric physical therapy care, pelvic organ prolapse with advanced runners/athletes, birth and push prep, and reducing birth injuries amongst my patients. It was also beneficial to attend hands-on training and being able to sit in on one of her Push Prep classes to prepare women for labor and delivery. I was able to see first-hand how she interacts with her patients and incorporate some of the same tactics into my own birth education sessions. In less than one year, my practice grew from an idea to me being able to support my family and double my hospital income. Currently, Michelle and I are working on expanding my practice with more employees.
