Our Pregnancy Prep class was designed to educate and support parents during the labor and delivery process. Labor is like a marathon. For most women it lasts 12+ hours. You wouldn’t show up to a marathon without preparing and training, so why do millions of Americans show up every year at the hospital with little to no knowledge on the birth process?
Our hope is that parents go into the birth process with an open informed plan and have techniques to help reduce the risk of orthopedic and pelvic floor injuries.
OUR CLASS FOCUSES ON
· Anatomy and biomechanics of the pelvis and pelvic floor muscles
· How to prepare your body for labor & what to do during early labor
· How to use create space in your pelvis through various labor positions to ease babies’ passage through the birth canal
· Addressing labor stalls through movement
· How to fully relax the pelvic floor muscles for pushing
· Breathing techniques for pushing
· Ways to reduce perineal tears, nerve injuries, and orthopedic injuries
· Modifications for medicated and unmedicated birth to keep you active for as long as possible

In the United States 1 in 3 women delivery via cesarean. Cesareans can save lives, but it is also a major abdominal surgery. If your birth plan includes a vaginal delivery we want to educate and empower you with tools and movements to reduce the risk of a c-section.
